Spear of Justice.

More Undertale art for the internet. Surprise. Here's my little Sans too: Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans Tribute by ObstinateMelon

I'm not sure when I'm going to get back to uploading again. I haven't outright quit, I just need to figure out when to find time to draw and how to do it regularly. Regardless, I hope you're enjoying yourselves! There's a lot of cool things out there to play. B-)

This game seems interesting. It's too bad I have so little time these days for gaming. (picked up Metal Gear Solid 5 on launch, only played like 4 hours so far) I fear if I went a bought it, it'd just sit in my steam library until I forgot about it. T_T

That is a valid concern. :P That's what a Steam library does.

However it's 10 hours even while fucking around, so you can manage while playing other games I think. It's also more emotionally moving than MGS5 which is hilarious to say.

10 hours isn't actually too bad. If I played it while I was running maintenance on my site, I could probably knock it out within a week or so... Hmmm... o.o

If you can get it to work, yeah. It's not a huge investment. It's very short and says what it needs to stay without overstaying its welcome.

ALRIGHT THEN.  Everybody's talkin' about Undertale, and now you!  Given our shared interests, I suppose I should be playing Undertale!

Also: GodDAMN, that's some good music!  If there's one thing that can get me to check out a game, it's the music.

The straw that broke the camel's back! It is a little unfortunate that social media and streaming culture will overblow anything to the point where it seems disgusting. It's a charming little game; the best one I've played in a long time, but talking about it is a little less fun now. I also remember a charming little game called Portal. Nothing about that got annoying on the internet...!!!

Oh yes, you're going to love the music. Chrono Trigger sound font, lots of other SNES sounds. Friggen Celes' song from the FF6 opera is in it... Jesus Christ.

Fair enough! I certainly understand that feeling.  Thankfully I've only been hearing bits and pieces about Undertale, so it hasn't felt overhyped, yet.  Seeing you do some fanart pretty much did it, since you seem to already have art from all my other favorites (Mega Man, BoF2, Shovel Knight, Tales of Graces, Exdeath...except everyone knows Exdeath is the best, so that's nothing new).

Now I'm torn between checking out the whole soundtrack right now and just playing the game and hearing it naturally!  Sounds like something I'm gona like no matter what.

I like how Exdeath is his own game, lolol. I can't imagine there's any way you're going to dislike Undertale, it's made for people like us. Well, minus a few awkward anime moments... but at least it's being intentionally cringey about it.

I listened to the whole soundtrack before I finished it and it didn't ruin anything for me. I liked imagining what the boss fights were and then seeing them for myself later. Most of the time they were cooler than what I imagined; especially Asgore. I really wish there was a proper looped version of it though. x.x All the songs play once and end, so there's a lot of 0:53 minute stuff on the soundtrack.

YEP, went and listened to the soundtrack.  That is some CATCHY SHIT, bro.  And full of emotion, in some cases.  And all around awesome.  It is interesting that they didn't loop some of those, but I'm still probably gona end up buying it before I ever get around to the game.

...mostly because I've tried Steam a few times on my ancient laptop and everything seems to run about as fast as a slug in a salt mine.

What he does with some of the songs is amazing. I didn't notice at first but "Your best nightmare + Finale" is the same melody as "Your best friend", and to take such a goofy and dumb sounding little tune and to turn it into THAT... that's what's amazing. I also bought it before I bought the game. Ain't going to download that soundtrack since this guy went way out of his way to make this little indie game.

Yeah, I'm surprised how brutal Steam is sometimes (It's as bad as NVIDIA updates!). I really think Undertale will run better than Steam itself on your computer. I mean just look at it, for one. I wish Steam would take a page from Chrome and try to make something that's super streamlined and fast to browse with... instead of being the lumbering giant that it is.

I'm starting a neutral run, might go either genocide or pacifist after... probably genocide, because I definitely want to do one of those runs at least once

Her theme on genocide is a final boss theme and I will take no arguments on that XD

A lot of people are right about doing pacifist first like Dedigge said. Genocide will 'corrupt' your save files (although easy to fix, not as bad as made out to be) and is balls-out difficult. It's definitely meant a last playthrough kind of thing, plus the sadder moments (so to speak) are only best realized if you know the characters through pacifist first. Otherwise you're just sort of killing monsters, y'know. I accidentally did a neutral run because I didn't fully understand what genocide was, and compared to the other two it's a little pointless. It's basically pacifist without the happy ending.

I'm starting a neutral for story and/or because you apparently can't do a pacifist without doing a genocide first? Meh. Not very far though XD.

Killing things is one thing, but it's nice to have a full appreciation for who you are murdering.

Your pacifist will at least be somewhat different from everyone else's. Flowey isn't at the beginning if you outright kill him, which happened on my shitty Genocide-turned-nuetral-because-I-didn't-realize-I-had-to-kill-everything run. I'm not sure how pacifist will work without Flowey being there.

hmm, I'll have to see.... I'm doing a normal pacifist first, we'll see how it goes from there (if I didn't already off him on neutral? XD)

Much text, little/no spoiler. talking about game feeling & dificulty on genocide/pacifist run.

There are some neat fights and soundtracks on genocide, but story&all seems rather flat... aside from those 2-3 hard fights, most of the game will become pretty easy and pretty depressing.
Also, doing a genocide run requires you to mess with your steam save-files (some say even cloud files), so you CAN get the REAL true pacifist ending after having done a genocide run in the past...
Playing a pacifist run (ad continuing it to a true pacifist run) will make the game mostly happy, funny, letting it throw bad puns at you like every 10 Minutes ^^ However, while the big bosses are getting easier, you need more work for the small monsters, solving puzzles instead of splicing them in half... Still, doing a pacifist run is probably the most rewarding regarding the end. ^^

I;mthinking of doing neutral-pcifist-geneocide-pacifist if I can. It seems like the most full use of this game that I'll get.

Well, doing a genocide run requires you to be pretty heartless and the game will tell you that, too ^^
Most people recommend watching genocide on youtube as most of it except the bossfights is pretty boring...
I only played true pacifist and probably will not reset the game as I really like the characters and want them to keep their happy ending...
But suit yourself^^ Just keep in mind that you may have to sell your soul when you want to pretend to be a pacifist after too much bloodshed.

I am evil. This will be fun~

apparently you have to do genocide to get the true pacifist run. fun times.

nope^^ just continue the normal pacifist run in the same matter and you get true pacifist run.
You get a 'different' true pacifist run ending, though, after having done a genocide run some time before...
